Lady and the Tramp background design study

Study of an assigned shot from Disney's 1955 animated film, Lady and the Tramp, determining the scene's tone using only the grayscale shot as a reference, and determining the color palette based on a pixelated image of the shot. Once all the elements were identified, a master copy of the shot was made, attempting to replicate the tone and lighting without having to match the textures.
